Our mission is to spread joy in the best way that we know how…through art, music, dance, love, prayer and education. We support and sponsor Antony Muriuki's education and hope to support many more deserving children.
We work with our partners at Tenri Academy and Africa Children Education Fund in Embu, Kenya to nurture the children of our future and help them, help themselves. Through the efforts of the Beyoki Education Fund: One Dollar Make A Difference campaign, we support and sponsor Antony Muriuki's education and hope to support many more deserving children.
Antony Muriuki born in 1992. Unfortunately, his mother abandoned him at birth, having no concern for his well-being. If it were not for his grandmother agreeing to take care of him, there is no telling what Antony’s future would have been. Despite the difficulties he has endured, Antony is quite the ambitious, smart and hard working young student whom we first came to know about in 2007 when he was in Standard 6. He has proven his determination to succeed by ranking each year at the top of his class at the public primary school he was attending. His mother, Faith Ruguru abandoned him at birth, having no concern for his well-being and if it was not for his grandmother, Lydiah Mugure agreeing to take care of him we don’t know what Antony’s future might have been. He has three brothers, all of whom have different fathers and Antony himself does not know who his real father is. Despite the difficulties he has endured - he has proven his determination to succeed by ranking each year at the top of his class at the public primary school he was attending. His uncle knew that Antony was committed and had the potential to do very well in life given the right education. So the uncle took a chance and came to us at Africa Children Education Fund in Embu, Kenya and asked for help. It happened right at the same time that the beyoki education fund was searching for a student to help. The timing could not have worked out better. After three years, we are grateful to have seen Antony successfully complete Standard 6, 7 and 8 and after producing very encouraging results in the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education exams in December 2010, his overall performance of (A-) was ranked one of the best in the province.
Due to his outstanding performance, he was admitted to the prestigious Nguviu Boys High School. Thanks to the support of our beyoki family, we were once again able to financially support Antony’s school fees for the first year and he was able to start school as planned this past January 31st, 2011. He has dreams of becoming a doctor, assisting physically challenged people, and we hope we can continue to help Antony achieve his dreams and goals in life. We have high hopes for him and are grateful to every person who has donated and humbly ask for your continued support and contributions. |
